Kastala Fortress
It is the first fortress built by the Portuguese colony once they arrived in 1511. Further, this is the fortress where Sultan Khairun was killed by the Portuguese in 1570. It is situated at Kelurahan Kastela, 10Kms south of Ternate city centre.
