Kalamata - St. Lucia Fortress
Initially, this fortress was built to defend the city from Spanish attack in 1950. The term "Kalamata" is taken from the name of one of the Prince or so called "SULTAN" in Ternate, who died in Makasar in the year of 1676. This Fortress is located at Kelurahan Kayu Merah, 2kms South of Ternate city centre.
